Enjoy an opportunity to learn how those bagpipes work, how they originated and a ritual meaning or two behind some of those dance steps. Questions encouraged! Performance: 7:30pm Tickets: Free-will donation |

| Sunday, September 21 | 4th Annual Beaver Island Senior Picnic Come one and all to the 4th Annual Beaver Island Senior Picnic—hosted by the Beaver Island Community Center for the first time! A delicious picnic-style menu of barbeque chicken, potato salad, baked beans, fruit and cookies will be served up for all ages! Come join with our Seniors for a great meal, a great time and to show them how much we appreciate them. Door prizes, activities and entertainment will accompany all meals! Time: 11am – 1pm Tickets: Suggested donation of $3 for Seniors 60 and over; $6 for persons under 60. Tickets available by calling Jean Palmer at 231 448-2915. |

| Saturday, September 27 | Beach Cleanup All volunteers willing to “re-beautify” Beaver Island’s beaches should meet at the BICC to pick up their bags and data sheets at 9am. “Re-beauticians” will meet back at the Community Center at noon for a complimentary hot dog lunch and lots of gratitude.
